BLOB - Through Water

A 20min performative film taking place underwater in Lofoten. The film centers on the topic of fluidity, movement and memory. Identity and environment, how as a queer body the notion of fluidity is survival. The transparency of these waters and the jellyfish exemplify my becoming transparent, like my underwater surroundings, in both my work and my identity as an artist. I am wearing a blue costume in sync with the blueness of the waters. Here I meet glossy and transparent beings that moves in an otherworldly way. Inspired by them I start moving my body in sync whilst feeling the sharp stinge of the cold water. It´s as if a melody emerges a slow and graceful rhythm. The film cant capture the cold, but it captures the view. I have become an underwater nymph with strange sounds echoing through the waters. In touch with the seaweeds, jellyfishes, water and sand.
