"Alterations" is an exhibition featuring works that follow thematic lines in Beatrice Alvestad Lopez's artistry concerning nature, materiality, and fiction. The exhibition displays pictorial motifs from a field trip to Bangalore, India, placed within a sculptural context of tactile materials such as wood, ceramics, and textiles. The installation appears animated, as the sculptures have a body-like form. This creates a post-human vision and animated objectivity that weaves a desire for play, ethics, and reciprocity. The installation stages a fictional experiential space where craft techniques and digital media create new visions.
